I work with people of all ages, as well as couples and families, treating a wide variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and relationship difficulties. I am particularly interested in working with survivors of trauma, queer-identified individuals, parents and caregivers, and clients navigating stress and transition. I believe that our difficulties often emerge from adaptations to earlier or ongoing circumstances. Therefore, I work with each client to develop a plan for acceptance and change that emerges from a shared understanding of their experiences.

I completed my doctoral training at Penn State University; clinical internship at UMass Memorial Community Healthlink; and postdoctoral fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. My scientific research examines how our experiences become embedded in our bodies and has been published in Child Development, Developmental Review, Developmental Psychology,Infancy, Psychophysiology, and others. For the past five years, I have also taught courses in clinical psychology and writing at Harvard University.

In my time away from work, I enjoy walking on the beach and in the woods, reading and writing, and spending time with my partner and four semi-feral children.
